The Tucson Youth Baseball Association understands that one of the battles in increasing the popularity of baseball in Tucson is lowering the costs to play the sport. One thing that keeps families away from the sport or drives them away at some time, are the rising costs of equipment. Bats, balls, gloves and cleats are all necessary to play the sport of baseball, but many families in our community cannot afford them.
With the partnership of Baum’s Sporting Goods, we are collecting any new or used baseball equipment to help families and children play the sport we love. We are asking all community members in Tucson to donate any used baseball equipment they have to the Tucson Youth Baseball Association.
Baum’s Sporting Goods will host as a drop off location for all donations. There are two locations. 2845 E Speedway Blvd and 6460 N Oracle Rd.
An event in December at a location and date to be determined will be held for families to pick up needed equipment to play the game of baseball. We thank everyone ahead of time for their involvement in our mission.
